Kusamba Beach is one of the beaches that was once used as a battlefield by the Laskar Kusamba under the leadership of I Dewa Agung Putra Kusamba to attack the Dutch stronghold under the leadership of General Andreas Victor Michiels in 1849. You can see this at the 18th drama in the Bajra Sandi Museum . The unique thing about Kusamba beach is that on this beach there is a traditional salt-making place that you rarely find on other beaches in Bali. So that on the beach of Kusamba you will see the activities of fishermen every day, starting from looking for fish in the sea, to seeing salt farmers who are busy with their work making salt on the beach.

At Kusamba Beach facilities are provided in the form of public toilets, boat waiting rooms, vehicle storage for tourists who cross to Nusa Penida Island. In addition, there are small shops selling food and soft drinks and here are also comfortable lodgings.
