Menjangan
Island is a very natural island with super amazing diving spots. This island is
a perfect definition of the beauty of underwater panoramas with natural stretch
of white sand and abundant marine biodiversity. Menjangan Island is located in
the north of the West Bali National Park area. Precisely in Klampok Village,
Grokgak District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, or about 60 km from Lovina. You will
travel approximately 3 hours from the tourist center of Kuta and a 4 hour drive
from Denpasar. From Denpasar, you can take the route Denpasar - Tabanan -
Selemadeng - Pupuan - Seririt - Menjangan. In about 4 hours drive, you will be
treated to a green view of Balinese rice fields and blue sea. It is recommended
that you rent a car and driver to have a longer fun time. But for those of you
who want to use public transportation, you can start the journey from
Gilimanuk.To reach this island, you have to cross by boat (boat) for 30-45
minutes from Lalang Port. During the trip you will be treated to volcanic views

Menjangan
Island is famous for its wall-diving. Wall-diving is one type of diving
activity at the depths by following the underwater cliff lane. The underwater
cliffs on Menjangan Island have a depth of 20 to 60 meters, even more. Although
famous for its wall diving, Menjangan Island has many coral reefs with depths
ranging from 10 meters. You will find many gorgonial fanfish types here. The
condition of the waters here is quite calm so that your visibility can reach 50
meters in certain weather conditions. Menjangan Island is surrounded by coral
reefs with various formations and forms. The 60 meter deep rock formations form
small caves and large caves that have functions as coral habitats such as soft
corals, large groupers and moray eels. In these small caves you will find small
snapper and batfish swimming up and down. The seabed of the island is also rich
in species of barrel sponges and sea fans of very large size. At this depth
location is also a place of life for tuna species, hordes of jackfish, batfish,
angelfish, sea turtles, as well as sharks.

diving that are often used as diving locations on this island are:
1. Eeel gardens is a
diving spot located in the western part of Menjangan Island. This spot is often
referred to as the best diving spot on Menjangan Island. In this spot there are
lots of garden eels and sea fans, according to the spot names. Diving will
begin at a depth of about 40 meters of coral wall which is rich in gorgonia and
other marine biota.
2. Secret Bay is the
right location for you macro diving lovers because in this location the waters
are quite shallow with a variety of coral reefs and have muddy sand on the
seabed. In this volcanic sand live a variety of rare and endemic marine biota.
This location is a location that is still very natural and not yet touched.Only
10 meters deep, you can find nudibranchs, frogfish, shrimpfish, seahorses,
dragonets, pipefish, lionfish, sea shrimp, ribbon eels and many other species.
But if you want to enjoy the beauty of these species you have to dive in the
right time.The recommended time is when high waves and moon circulais are in
the right position too.
3. Anchor Wreck is a
diving location that is recommended for divers who are experienced and quite
professional. With a depth of about 45 meters, this location offers the
uniqueness of the corpse that has been corroded complete with its anchors.
According to the public, this ship was a Dutch ship that sank in the 19th
century during World War II. This ship is referred to as the Anker Ship or
Slave Ship, because it was alleged that this ship transported slaves from Bali
to Jakarta. If you dive into this ship, you will find chests filled with
ceramic furniture that has been overgrown with soft corals and turtles and even
sharks swimming.
