Taman Hutan Raya
Ir. H. Djuanda Bandung
Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda is a conservation area that is integrated between secondary nature with plantations located in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The area reaches 590 hectares stretching from the Dago Pakar area to Maribaya.
Location of the Forest Park in Ir. H. Djuanda is in Kampung Pakar, Ciburial Village, Cimenyan District, at an altitude of between 770 masl to 1330 masl. On top of its fertile land there are around 2500 types of plants consisting of 40 families and 112 species. In 1965 only about 10 ha of the new forest park, but now it has reached 590 ha stretching from the Pakar area to Maribaya. Currently the management is carried out by the Forestry Service of the Regional Government of West Java Province (previously under the auspices of Perum Perhutani).
Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda or Tahura Ir. H. Djuanda and often abbreviated as THR Djuanda:
·         Can be visited every day.
·         The time is between 08.00-18.00.
·         Each visitor is charged an entrance fee of Rp. 12,000,-
·         To explore the entire forest it takes around 2-3 hours
·         Can be reached via Jalan Dago or through Jalan Cikutra. All types of vehicles can enter the main gate. When using City Transportation public vehicles only until Dago Terminal, then the trip is continued with other public vehicles in Unisba Campus and stop at Kordon. From the Kordon the journey continues by walking 500 m.
·         Access from the North, through Maribaya-Lembang Tourism Object. From this gate you can see the attractions of Curug Omas and then the journey continues by walking along the path along the 6 km to Pakar Dago
This area is usually quite crowded on weekends, especially Sunday mornings when many people come to recreation just to enjoy the atmosphere or cross-country sports with the 6 kilometer Tahura-Maribaya route. This distance can usually be reached on foot about 2-3 hours (depending on conditions). Certainly walking through the Forest Park in Ir. H. Djuanda is very fun because besides the beauty of the environment, it also provides freshness because the air is relatively clean.
In addition to its natural forests and for crossing the Djuanda THR sports there are also other attractions:
