Public Monument and Memorials Pahlawan
Perang Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia 1945
Bali
has a story of the struggle of the heroes to fight for the Republic of
Indonesia from Dutch colonialism, namely Puputan Margarana. Puputan Margarana
is a battle of Ciung Wanara troops led by Lieutenant Colonel I Gusti Ngurah Rai
in the face of the NICA army formed by the Dutch on November 20, 1946.
To
commemorate and appreciate the services of the struggle of the heroes, now in
the area of the battle was erected a hero monument called the Puja Bangsa
Park. Meanwhile, to appreciate the struggle of the troops Ciung Wanara, the
city park in the city of Gianyar was named Ciung Wanara City Park.
In
addition, to commemorate the heroic stories of our heroes, the Balinese
government also built monuments or museums such as the Monumen Perjuangan
Rakyat Bali at Puputan Renon Field or better known as the Bajra Sandhi Renon.
Because
of its location in Mumbul Park (Nusa Dua), this monument is better known as the
Taman Mumbul Monument. This monument is located on the pass by Ngurah Rai, it
is very easy to find if you want to visit this place. This place can be reached
with a distance of about 3 km from the hotel area in Nusa Dua, and about 10
minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport.
In
here visitors can relax enjoying the scenery and see every detail of the beauty
of the building of this monument.
.
Aside
from being a historical tourist spot, this monument is also used as a prawedding
photo for couples who are going to get married, because this monument
architectures is very beautiful, unique
and artistic and for the prawedding fee is Rp,1.500.000. The facilities at this
monument such as toilet parking area,
near from Laota Restaurand and Handicraft souvenir centre and the
entrance ticket is Rp 40.000.
This
monument is still quiet from visitors because it has not been managed optimally
by the local government. If this monument is managed optimally, there will
certainly be many visitors such as the Bajra Sandhi monument which every day is
never empty of visitors. Hopefully later this monument will be able to become a
magnet for tourists to visit Nusa Dua and certainly become a tourism icon of
Nusa Dua. (Liza Anggraeni/5D/18)
