The Beauty of Kelating Beach

Bali is one of the islands in Indonesia which is famous for its tourism potential. Bali and tourism cannot be separated. As a tourist destination, the richness and beauty of nature, and the uniqueness of its culture are the main attractions. Bali is not only well-known domestically but also internationally. The factor that make Bali as a favorite tourist destination in Indonesia is the distinctiveness of its tourist objects, both cultural and natural tourism.

The excellence of natural tourism in Bali is its diversity of beautiful nature, such as beaches, seas, mountains, rivers, and forests. All these natural places are potential to be tourist attractions. One of the attractions of nature tourism in Bali is beach. Beaches in Bali are famous for their beauty. Not only the area of ​​South Bali that has the charm of a beautiful beach. Slightly to the middle, precisely in Tabanan area, there are beautiful rows of charming beaches. One of them is Kelating Beach.

Kelating Beach is one of the black sand beaches in Bali. This beach is located in the western part of Bali precisely in Kelating Village, Kerambitan, Tabanan. Kelating Beach is about 13 km from the center of Tabanan or 33 km from Denpasar. Access to Kelating Beach is easy because the road is a main road, it's not difficult for tourists to drive private vehicles.

Once entering the beach area, tourists will be greeted with overlay of black sand. The beauty of black sand is more charming when exposed to the sun. The light reflection makes the black sand sparkle like a jewel on sand. If there is no sunlight, the beach sand will look normal. With its vast and sloping black sand, Kelating Beach become one of the most interesting natural attractions in Bali. The waves on this beach are quite big, so it’s not uncommon for many people to surf here. The beach atmosphere that is protected from the hustle, quiet and lonely is perfect for tourists who crave tranquility. Located in a strategic area, Kelating Beach has a very beautiful sunset. This is also one of the main attractions.

Not only the beauty of the beach, tourists can also enjoy some interesting places in the western part of Kelating Beach, a bat cave. This bat cave is very interesting because it is located right on the seafront and there are rarely caves on a beach, especially bat caves. Unfortunately tourists cannot enter the cave to see the bats. The bats can only be seen from outside the cave because the cave is a sacred place. Other than that, there are also cliffs and temples. The cliff is right above the bat cave and side by side with the river that leads to the sea. The cliff is very unique because besides being a place to enjoy the beauty of the sea, tourists can also enjoy the beauty of the bottom which looks like a waterfall when the river overflows. Unfortunately access to get there is still difficult because it is rarely touched. But that is what makes the western part of Kelating Beach even more attractive.

Although tourists are still rarely visiting, Kelating Beach has facilities that support tourism activities such as parking areas, food stalls that sell food and beverages, and accommodation. Tourists don’t need to pay entrance fee, they only need to pay the parking fee which is IDR 2.000,00. With its charming beauty, facilities provided and friendly residents, it is unfortunate that Kelating Beach has not been well known by tourists. This problem can be faced by doing more intense promotions.
