“Bejimumbul” is located in the village of Ubud,
Gianyar sub-district, Bali. “Bejimumbul” is located very close to PuriUbud,
approximately only 10 minutes by foot. “Bejimumbul” is located across the
highway from Ubud, so it's easy to find it. However, not many people know about
this location, maybe only local people in Ubud know about it, not many tour
guides who come from outside Ubud know the existence of this “bejimumbul”.
“Bejimumbul” is one of the holy shafts in Ubud
besides “tukad”tjampuhan, “bejimumbul” has 3 holy water which is commonly
called holy “pancoran” where one of the “pancoran”
is saved. The saved “pancoran” is located right in front of the “beji” temple
which is also there. “Pancoran” which is used by the community of Ubud at
certain times such as religious ceremonies in the temple.while the other 2
sacred “pancoran” is used for painting by the people of Ubud. Although its
function is the same, the sacredness of the “pancoran” right in front of the “bejimumbul”
temple is more sacred, because the “pancoran” is purified for the gods, while
the other 2 are sanctified for humanity. Although like that, the sanctity of
each courtship is not much different that is to purify the universe.
Right next to the “pancoran” there is a temple or a
holy place for Hinduism. The temple is called temple“bejimumbul”, where in the
temple there is a site that is believed to be the embodiment of the god. At the
time of “piodalan” at the temple in “PuraDalemUbud”, this site usually
accompanies the “piodalan” ceremony. Because in history the temple of “bejimumbul”
has a bond with the “PuraDalemUbud.
To enter the “mumbulbeji” is free. But specifically
for female tourists, both local and foreign tourists who are unable or
menstruating, it is strictly forbidden to enter“bejimumbul” area. This aims to
maintain the sanctity and sacredness of the “bejimumbul” both for the holy “pancoran”
or the temple of“bejimumbul”. (Desak Koming-MBP 5B-08)
