Shopping at the local mall and going to markets are no longer the only activities to do when travel. It came to no surprise that water tourism has been seen as a favourite destination to go by tourists these days as a way to spend their vacation. However, discovering beautiful and clean nature surrounding at this time can be quite difficult, especially in the urban areas. Fret not, here you could find one in the city of Denpasar, which is also a community favourite called Tukad Bindu. It is located in Kelurahan Kesiman, East Denpasar District, Denpasar City. The distance from Denpasar City is about 5.3 kilometres with a travel time of about 13 minutes.

Bali Tourism which is not far from the center of Denpasar City was once a dirty river area, full of garbage and mud. Since serious cleaning and management has taken place, this location has turned into a beautiful and pleasant destination. TukadBindu is managed by the Tukad Bindu Foundation in collaboration with the Denpasar government.

Tourists visiting the Tukad Bindu are not subject to parking fees or entrance fees. However, tourists could help donate money as they will in the provided box by the community. There are several facilities that can be enjoyed and used by tourists when visiting this tourist attraction, such as jogging at the provided track, the availability of traditional children playgrounds, stage performances, field, sports facilities and also, not to forget, they provide the most instagramable background!

There can also be found a number of food stalls and traditional markets managed by the community. So visitors do not have to seek for another site when feeling hungry. They provide quite a range of food from local food like Tipat Cantok, Rujak, Serombotan, to snacks like french fries, Lumpia, to various types of thirst-releasing drinks! The price is affordable ranging from Rp 5,000 to Rp 15,000. Meanwhile, the drinks are priced at around Rp 3,000 to Rp 10,000. Incidentally, I ordered a fried noodles worth of Rp 7.000 and mango juice as a companion drink worth of Rp 5,000. It is safe for me to say that the food was tasty and cheap! You can eat while enjoying the cool atmosphere of Tukad Bindu. 

Usually the community and tourists would visit the TukadBindu to perform various activities such as fishing, swimming, exercising or just gathering with family and friends, playing on the freelance field, and so forth. The area in this tourist attraction is indeed very spacious, clean and comfortable for all sort of activities. A place with a breathe of fresh air with birds roaming around freely in the middle of the city is a definitely a gem!
